We are at an impasse—many people have contributed to discussions about making Honk! Somerville more inclusive by proposing a variety of steps and actions, often for many years in a row, taking notes of suggestions and making them available but feel frustrated with the lack of follow-up or burnt out. Hear from the perspective of marginalized members of the HONK! community and foster a better common understanding of the kind of commitment needed to make a space/event more accessible and welcoming to marginalized folks. Marginalized members will speak on their direct experiences and non marginalized participants will be able to ask questions.
